NWMI member Ritwika Mitra received the second prize in the Best Article category at the Press Institute of India-International Committee of the Red Cross Annual Awards held in November 2023. She won the award for her story, Storm Cycle, published in Fifty Two.
NWMI member Ismat Ara, reporter at The Frontline, was also recognised in the Special Mention category for Best Article. The theme for this year’s edition was ‘Stories of Resilience in Humanitarian Disasters: Responses and Challenges’.
