NWMI member and independent journalist Makepeace Sitlhou’s documentary film, A Wall Runs Through It, has won the 2023 Rocky Mountain Student Production Award in the College Non-Fiction -Short Form category.

The film was made by Makepeace, Trilce Estrada Olvera and Hakob Karapetyan from the Arizona State University – Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The Rocky Mountain Awards are given by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, best known for the coveted Emmy Awards.
Makepeace was a 2022-2023 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Arizona State University.
