Priyanka Tupe wins inaugural Kamla Mankekar Award for Journalism on Gender

Priyanka Tupe, a member of the Network of Women in Media, India, has been awarded the inaugural Kamla Mankekar Award for Journalism on Gender 2024 by The Media Foundation. Priyanka Tupe is a senior correspondent of BehanBox, based in Maharashtra.

The citation reads “Ms Tupe has gone where few journalists in India have”. BehanBox posted that Priyanka Tupe has consistently pushed the boundaries of reportage bringing with her the empathy and sensitivity along with asking hard questions of the state.
