NWMI member and photojournalist Sanna Irshad Mattoo has been awarded the Kerala Media Academy’s World Press Photography Award.
The award carries a citation, statuette and a cash award of Rs 1 lakh. Previous recipients include Sanna’s fellow Pulitzer winner, Vietnamese American photographer Nick Ut, and photojournalist Raghu Rai. Sanna received the award from Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at the Kerala Media Conclave on 2 March 2024.
