Nearly a hundred media women from across India participated in the three-day meet, among whom were members from Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal.
The 13th national meet of the NWMI was held in Chennai from 4 to 6 January 2018. With the central theme as ‘Gender and the Media – Challenges and Opportunities’, the conference aimed to bridge the gap in gender discourse within the media and focus on challenges faced by practitioners.
