Nileena Atholi, Senior Sub Editor at Mathrubhumi Digital and member of the Network of Women in Media, India has been named among winners of the Youth Icon Awards 2025-26, instituted by the Kerala State Youth Commission.
Bhavya Dore and Jyoti Yadav, members of the Network of Women in Media, India, were recognised at the 25th Annual PoleStar Awards. Bhavya Dore won the Best Feature in Good News for her story, “Buried Beneath a Mountain”, published in Reader’s Digest India, and Jyoti Yadav was given the Jury Special Mention Award for her story, “2 men raped Bhanwari Devi for trying to stop 1992 child marriage. ‘I curse her daily,’ says bride” published in The Print.
Nazni Rizvi, Chief Reporter at Khabar Lahariya and member of the Network of Women in Media, India, is among 15 recipients of the 2025-26 C. Subramaniam Awards. She has been recognised for her extensive reporting on social justice issues affecting marginalised communities, working across Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states, focusing on women’s rights, gender-based violence, minority communities and the lives of transgender persons.
‘പെൺ/Pen Power’ is the theme for the souvenir released during the 20th National Meeting of the Network of Women in Media in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The souvenir was released at the public meeting on 7 February 2026. പെൺ/Pen Power intertwines the dual powers of women journalists.
