Sahar Zaman, founder and director of Hunar TV channel, and member of the Network of Women in Media, India, was among awardees of the Leader of Public Diplomacy awards given by the World Peoples Assembly. The awards were part of the World Public Summit held in March 2026 in New Delhi, held in cooperation with the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Afrida Hussain and Sanna Irshad Mattoo, members of the Network of Women in Media, India, were recognised at The Public India Digital Media Awards 2026. Afrida Hussain won the Jagdeep Chhokar Award for Meaningful Journalism, and Sanna Irshad Mattoo won the Danish Siddiqui Award for Photojournalism.

Safeena Wani, independent journalist and member of the Network of Women in Media, India, has won the Reporter of the Year – (Publishing) at the 10th Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association (IIMCAA) Awards.
