Bhavya Dore’s story was commended as “a masterclass in impactful journalism. By uncovering hope in the most challenging of circumstances, Bhavya’s work exemplifies the very best of modern storytelling, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, there are stories of resilience worth telling.” Her story can be read here: https://polestar-foundation.org/journalism/assets/documents/winning-articles/Best-Good-News-Feature-25th-PoleStar-Awards.pdf

Jyoti Yadav’s story, documenting the aftermath of the 1992 Bhanwari Devi case, was commended as “a masterclass in feminist journalism. By revisiting a story that changed India’s legal landscape for women, Jyoti’s work exemplifies the very best of modern reporting: challenging systemic apathy and amplifying the complex, often painful, voices of those at the heart of the movement for equality.” Her story can be read here: https://polestar-foundation.org/journalism/assets/documents/winning-articles/Jury-Special-Mention-25th-PoleStar-Awards.pdf

The awards instituted in 1998, recognises “importance of the role of the Indian journalists and honours the best of the best for their path-breaking contributions”.

Congratulations, Bhavya and Jyoti!
