NWMI Meeting: HELLO मुंBAI

By Editors

The countdown begins for the Network of Women in Media’s 18th National Meet in Mumbai from February 2-4, 2024. The National Meet returns to Mumbai after 2013 and 2004. More than 250 women journalists from across the country are all set to discuss and debate media issues and to celebrate our unique solidarity.

A host of power-packed sessions and workshops on a range of issues are on the cards for NWMI members. These include challenges of reporting on elections and agriculture, reporting on disasters, on LGBTQIA+ issues, visual content verification, making visuals work, the representation of gender in mainstream cinema, cities in crisis, the impact of AI on journalism.

Apart from these, members put on their very best for the ‘NWMI’s Got Talent’ every year, and this meet is expected to be no different!

The panel discussion on “Can Independent Media Survive in the new Bharat/ India?” will be held on February 3, 2024, from 6.30 p.m. at the Press Club in Mumbai. This is open to the public.
